Tea themed Christmas gifts

I feel like I say variations on this all the time  (because I do)--but I swear January is flying by!  Here it is the 20th and I still haven't shared my tea themed Christmas gifts...so I should get on that.

First up, a silver tea set!

My grandmother gave this set of silverplate to my aunt (Aunt Marilyn), who gave it to me as a Christmas present.  She had cleaned the set, but I went over the pieces again with silver paste, and they came out so beautifully!

I currently have the tea tray set on top of a new present I bought myself (there was a pre-Christmas sale)

A pretty Queen Anne hunt board!  I put it in the basement so I am ready for my next party :). I have been watching this piece since last spring and the discount finally pushed me over.

I also received a new tea ornament for my tree from Aunt Becky.

The top is a piece of ruler and scrabble pieces, and the bottom has little cups and saucers and even a spoon hanging from it!  Here is a closer shot:

And here are the three gifts from my parents,

the Spode teapot from my New Year's brunch, a new Teapot calendar for my kitchen, and a pink Royal Albert box that I am so excited about!  I will definitely have to plan a party around that new piece (which will remain a mystery for now)!

  7. Isn't it fun to be spoiled by tea-themed gifts? Your grandmother's silver tea set is gorgeous. Carson from Downton Abbey would approve of your silver polishing skills! I'm a Scrabble nerd so I'm geeking out over your super cute Christmas ornament. I look forward to the big reveal of the mysterious RA present!
