April Fool's Mismatched Tea

Welcome!

Please join me for a special mismatch tea.  Because it is April 1st, I'm mismatching colors and patterns, throwing in some Easter guests, and serving an extra special tea in your cup.

Where would you like to sit?  There are three choices:

This seat is a mix of Aynsley Chelsea gold from last week's tea party, with Fraconia Millefluers.

Or, if you prefer, a mix of Royal Albert's cheeky pink with Hammersley's Victorian Violets.

Or maybe my favorite combo:

This is a mix of Royal Albert's Old Country Roses on the bottom with an Allerton Ltd. three piece set with no name.  Most of this set isn't marked, except for the saucer.

Here is the mark:

This mark was in use from 1915 to 1929.  I think this is probably my oldest set.

Have you picked?  Please have a seat!  Do you see the cute napkin?  It's a tea party on a napkin!

Would you like some salt or pepper with you tea?

Yes, I said salt and pepper!  I'm serving one of Numi's new savory teas, Fennel Spice, but more on that tomorrow.

I also have an extra special dessert cupcake:

My sister gave me the pretty display dome with the pink plate.  Would you like to have a taste?

April Fool's!  It's a Christmas ornament :).

  1. What a fun idea! Love the Mix matched table you set and all the fun it holds! Love the pretty dishes and tea pot and the hysterical cupcake ornament, you had me there! Thanks for the kind visit today. I love that we have the same tea tin! I normally drink Earl Grey tea and love a double bergamot one that is very strong, so I keep it aside as not many of my friends like it so strong. Meanwhile,I don't drink herbals, so we swap when they come over. Enjoy the day!
