Fantastic Days at Sea

Day 2 of the cruise was a relaxing day at sea.  We started the day with a Christmas show in the lobby--we had tried to see it the night before, but got there late (it was after dinner) and did not have a good spot.  My mom has some mobility issues, which made it tough for her to see.  This morning we got there early and staked out a spot not too far from the "stage" with only children in front of us (score!). I was able to get some neat shots.

Elsa of course made it snow in the lobby!  She's magical that way.

What would a day at sea be without the pool?

(Play area for kids)

(Movies poolside--Mickey's A Christmas Carol of course!)

The tubing is for the Aquaduck ride--which is a ton of fun!  Part of it even goes slightly off the ship!)

(Adult pool area where we mostly hung out)

(Upper deck wading pool)

(Drink of the day anyone?)

There were included desserts galore, but also a sweet shop if you wanted to pay for something extra special.

After sun, swimming, and snacks, it was time to get cleaned up in time for a broadway-like show!  The Fantasy had three different broadway shows while we were on board--Aladdin, Disney's Believe, and Wishes.  All were terrific!

After the theater it was back to the lobby for formal night and the captain's gala with free drinks and everyone walking around in there fancywear.

My mother in particular just enjoyed watching everyone walking around in their fancy clothes.  Lots of people did dress very nicely, while others were less formal--it was really up to the person.  I will say that it was much more fun to go along and dress up in something pretty!

Dinner that night was in the pretty Enchanted Garden.

The suns sets in the garden while you are dining, and the night flower lights bloom.

This is probably my favorite restaurant on the Fantasy.

Anyone for after dinner drinks at Ohlala, the French Champagne bar?

At night is the best time to get beautiful deserted pictures of the fancy lobby.

 Goodnight!

  1. Running commentary:
    • I want to see your fancy formal night outfit!! You'll have to show me the photos. I *KNOW* there are photos!! :-P.
    • Again... A+ food pics. Nom.
    • I love that you went back out for night photos even while on a cruise ship, haha. It must have been pretty late for the lobby to have been that deserted! Perfectly stranger-free!
