Kentucky Derby Tea Cart

I couldn't figure out what I should do for the tea parties this week...and then I turned on the Kentucky Derby.  First look at the fancy hats, and I knew what this week's theme would be.

For a derby tea, you have to have red roses, pretty hats, and horses, of course!  I'll put my hat back on as soon as I have a seat...but first, let me tell you a bit about the cart.

Roses are, of course, the main theme of the cart, with my Old Country Roses tea pot in the back, New Country roses in the front, and a little crystal vase of red roses in the background.

I found the entire 5 piece place setting of Royal Albert's New Country Roses at Homegoods a couple of weeks ago, which was definitely an exciting find for me.  My heart sped up and everything thing :).  In this picture the salad plate is on top of the dinner plate, with the matching cup and saucer to the right.

Thanks for stopping by!  This week I'll be sharing a couple recipes inspired by my UK trip, so check back in if you are interested.
