Spring 2018 Teacup exchange!

I'm a little behind schedule, but I'm finally posting my teacup exchange post a day late.  I was so excited to learn that Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose was hosting another teacup exchange, her twelfth!  This was my fourth time participating, and every time it has been so much fun.

I received my box from Esther in Indiana (I don't think she has a blog).

So many goodies!  Chocolates (long since gone), a nice strong black tea that went straight to be my new work box--very smooth and caffeinated, perfect for early mornings!  A notepad with a magnet for my fridge (and I do love making lists!), and some lavender sachets--my favorite scent.

But of course, the main event:

This cup has pretty blue flowers and silver edging.  Esther said in her note that she has a whole set of this pretty china.  It is Bavarian--which is so cool since I actually just got back from a trip to Germany!

Last, but not least, new garden gloves and seeds, which is perfect because I just started working in my garden.

Esther sent such a lovely spring box!

I sent a box to Deborah from A Delightful Glow.  I think I took pictures, but I can't find them now that I need them.  No biggie, since Deborah has gorgeous pictures on her blog of my box (here)!

Thanks again so much to Stephanie for arranging!  There were close to 250 participants this time--and so many very nice boxes.  Check out all the other boxes on The Enchanting Rose's 12th Teacup exchange post.

Spring 2017 Teacup Exchange Reveal!!!

I was so excited to get the email that it was time for the spring teacup exchange...and now it is time to tea party!  Sarah in St. Louis sent me such a wonderful box!  She put so much effort into everything.  Including the cute doily address label (slightly smudged for the internet)!

And here is my haul!  Sarah was so generous :).

Really, I had to run back in side and get a table cloth to make the pictures a little fancier.  The pictures are a bit dark because it was already dusk...but I couldn't wait to open everything!  One of my favorite colors is purple, so there was a purple theme to the whole box.

And the labels!  Every gift had a little tag that gave some clue as to the gift.  Each was based on one of my favorite things that I listed for the exchange!  Such a cool idea!

And of course, the teacup!  This is a light purple cup with violets by Colclough china, and is English bone china.

In addition to TWO kinds of stirrers for tea, the next gift was...

 Cookies!  French macarons and biscuits,

Perfect with a cup of tea.

A purple doily.

A gold teaspoon,

A bookmark,

A pale green glass cake stand "for [my] love of tea parties!"  (Did I mention I REALLY loved the tags?)

And the last box, "for your love of travel" a whole assortment of teas based on different  cities/countries!  So cool!

I have so many ideas for the blog based on this collection of teas!  I actually haven't brought myself to open it yet it's so cool looking!

Thanks so much Sarah!!!

And here is a sneak peak of the package I sent to Sharon at Tales from Twisty Lane.

Sharing at the reveal party on The Enchanting Rose.  Thanks so much to Stephanie for arranging this exchange, especially with matching up the hundreds of participants!!!  This is my third time participating and it has been so much fun!

Fall 2016 Teacup Exchange Reveal!!

I was so excited to participate in Stephanie's (from The Enchanting Rose) 9th Teacup and Mug Exchange last month.  This is my second time participating, and it was just as fun as the first time.  Not only is it fun to scroll through and see what all the ladies (192 this time!!!) put together in their boxes during the reveal, but I enjoy the "hunt" to put my gifting box together as much as receiving my own teacup box.

And speaking of my box...it came decorated!

This exchange I received a teacup from Ang of the Just a Country Girl blog.  She was so sweet, she emailed me a few times to learn more about what I like before putting together my box, and since I said I loved the Christmas season,

She sent me this beautiful mug (or teacup as the case may be) rug and matching coasters!  I love the mix of light blue with red.  I can also leave it out all winter, so I'm thinking inspiration for a January tea post?  We'll have to see.  And of course the assorted flavored black teas is a hit with me.

But, how about a close up of the pièce de résistance:

Such a pretty teacup!!!  I love butterflies, in fact my everyday china is Lenox's Butterfly Meadow, so not only is this teacup lovely, it matches my china.

I sent my box to Libby in Tennessee.  I'm not sure if she will be linking or not (she has had some troubles with her blog this year), but here is a peek at what I sent her:

Libby said Fall was her favorite time of year, and she really liked owls, so I had extra fun trying to find things she would like...it really was like a treasure hunt!  She also sent me a lovely thank you note, so I think she liked her box.

Here is the close up of the Paragon teacup I gave her--a very timely find at my favorite thrift shop (yes, the exchange is totally an excuse to visit my favorite thrift shop...and Homegoods of course).

So we went from winter to spring to fall all in one post!  Thanks so much to Stephanie for hosting this wonderful exchange and working to match up all (192) participants!  I'm linking to The Enchanting Rose's 9th Teacup and Mug Exchange Reveal!

If you are interested, please also check out my Halloween Tea in the Wizarding World post!  I'm planning on posting a couple of recipes from that party later this week.

Teacup exchange reveal!

Hello everyone!  Today Stephanie at the Enchanting Rose is hosting a party so participants in her Teacup and Mug exchanges can share their packages.  I've seen on other blogs how much fun this exchange is, so I decided to join in, and boy was I not disappointed!  Not only did I get to visit the blogs of two ladies I hadn't visited before (always fun finding new to me blogs), I also had a ton of fun!

Bethany Carson of Liberty or Death sent me a package with lots of little touches, including a couple of wrapped gifts,

in addition to a lovely new three piece set (I have a slight three piece set collecting habit :)!  I could tell she looked at my blog to see what I like, which was extra nice of her)

(The cat stickers and Earl Grey tea were two of the wrapped gifts)

(such a pretty pattern!)

Bethany also sent a lovely mug with all sorts of spring flowers.

Perfect for sipping a cup of my new Earl Grey tea outside on a pretty spring evening with my last two gifts:

A gorgeous blue crocheted shawl, and a box of chocolates!  I was definitely spoiled!

I prepared a box for Emillee of Sincerely Emillee (sneak peak below!)

Waiting for my own box was definitely exciting (I love mail!) but it was also a lot of fun putting together a box myself and checking out thrift and antique stores and Homegoods (really I'll take any excuse).  I had a wonderful time--thanks so much to Stephanie for hosting and taking the time to match up all the participants!
